jaeclecticWell, me and the kitties are settiling in at the Lake Merritt Hotel. Wish it wasn't so blasted hot -- I should have picked someplace with less charm, but air conditioning.
Today was quite productive, but I still feel like there are too many loose ends for comfort.
The done list:
- Gave away ficus tree.
- With much help from bulie, I got my remaining largish house plants, plus a massive amount of plant-related stuff, taken over to L&N's for care and/or storage.
- Miscellaneous packing.
- Brought various items essential to either myself or the kitties over here, and then the kitties themselves.
On the agenda for tomorrow:
- Kris is coming to take away the Turkish carpet for safekeeping
- A person is coming to take away my turquoise carpet for some BurningMan purpose.
- More miscellaneous packing.
- Meet my realtor in the evening to make an offer on a condo.
Still looming:
- Get rid of large pieces of furniture, notably the wardrobes.
- Figure out how to get things down from the ceiling if the ELL people still can't find any of their ladders in another week!
Coming up soon:
- Movers come to take stuff to the storage space on Tuesday.
Note to self: bring desk chair here. This chair will not do.
