weekend report
Nice weekend, overall.
The thing at Biscuits and Blues was 90% fun (good band, excellent snacks, friendly and occasionally interesting conversations) and 10% like being at some kind of archetypal junior high dance where none of the boys wanted to dance with me. Strangely, I had kind of gotten my hopes up for this one. It just seemed so much like my kind of thing. Ah well.
On Sunday I visited K&K for a little while. They seem to be doing OK, although Kris was noticably tired.
Other than that: went to the gym, went to the farmer's market, did the obligatory load of laundry.
I am very glad for the short workweek this week. I know the long weekend is going to fill right up, but it will still be a nice break in the routine, and at least it's 4 days with no alarm clock. The plan at the moment is Thursday dinner with L&N, then share leftovers with K&K on Friday, then see how many of the following items I can actually accomplish: set up new external hard disk, update web site (minimum: change address on resume), finish change of address notices (primarily for things that have been going to the mailbox address), start xmas cards...
