feline flickr soap opera

So a few weeks ago, one of my coworkers IM'd me a link to a cute cat picture, possibly this one. And as it was a slow day and work, I started browsing through the other pictures in the photostream. The photographer is a woman who lives in Brazil, São Paulo I think?, with an ever-growing number of cats, in an apartment down the street from an abandoned building inhabited by feral cats which she feeds and tries to rescue.

It turns out to be an utterly addictive combination of very nice photographs of very cute cats, plus a storyline with an element of feline-centered soap opera. She started out with two cats of her own, then gets another, then gets another, at various times there are various rescue cats that she finds homes for, then a rescue cat that she decides to keep because she doesn't adapt well when placed elsewhere (cat count up to 5), then she acquires a two kittens that she ends up keeping (cat count up to 7), then she rescues an injured black cat who ends up losing an eye (cat count up to 8), then doesn't get the two almost-grown kittens neutered in a timely manner, so they have a litter of 5 more kittens, of which so far she has found homes for three (cat count up to 10, at least temporarily), and as of this week she's got another rescued feral living in her bathroom (11!).

Phew!

Over the intervening time since being sent that first link, I've gone back and viewed all 900-and-some pictures, and skimmed much of the associated commentary, which includes discussion of which cats get along well with which other cats. At this point, I feel like I know them all. I am absurdly pleased that she still has my favorite of the kittens (Maya). Et cetera.

In sum... I have been finding this highly entertaining, so I thought I'd share: if any of you need another time-waster, check it out :)
