Vegas was splendid, of course. Glittery, silly, frivolous with intent. Practically designed to keep any thoughtful person from taking anything at all too seriously. In short, just what I needed.
For the record: Blue Man Group was very entertaining. Mystere, on the other hand, was extraordinary. Wow.
The Star Trek thing was also amusing. As only a faux 23rd century adventure can be...
Other than those specific activities, I basically just wandered the strip, alternating between admiring the "sights" (ooh, pretty, shiny!), wasting money on slots, and people-watching, with a bit of alcohol consumption thrown in for good measure.
For the record: The 27-oz $1 margarita at Westward Ho is very good value for money. On the other hand, if you're not on a tight budget, I do recommend paying $9 to indulge in a margarita made with fresh crushed raspberries and high quality tequila at Isla in TI. (The blackberry one isn't bad either.)
All in all, quite a good little trip. And I got home today before the rain started. In my current mood, I'll take that as a good omen.
Oh, and my little stash of xmas packages included a lovely selection of flashy hosiery from Kris & Karen. A couple of lacey patterns, one pair black with silver glitter, and the piece de resistance: leopard print -- or maybe it's giraffe -- something faux furry, anyway. *giggle* So nice to have friends who know my taste :)
