pop-cultural illiteracy, take 2
Mar. 27th, 2005 03:37 pmWent out to run errands, completely totally utterly forgetting that some stores might be closed today. I mean, it's not like I didn't know that it was Easter. It just means so little to me, I didn't think about it.
Also, feeling rather frazzled now. This is due to some combination of: my microwave oven abruptly hitting its built-in obsolence as I was heating up soy sausages for breakfast; my inability to face life for even a few days without a microwave, and thus needing to add that to my shopping list for the day, hence leading to my astonishing discovery that some stores are closed on Easter; probable PMS; onset of mild cold symptoms; nasty weather materializing out of nowhere since this AM; the long list of things I wanted to get done this weekend that aren't done; next phase of the hangover.
Ah well. In a few moments, I'm going to run to Peet's to stock up on decaf before heading for my massage appointment. Oh, first water the plants, then run to Peet's. Nothing else that was supposed to get done this weekend really can't wait.
