May. 26th, 2005 09:09 amStrangely, after this past weekend being so very full, I have absolutely zero, zip, nada in the way of social plans for the coming long weekend. Although most likely I will see K&K. Nevertheless, feel free to invite me to something :)
OTOH, a three-day weekend seems like a fine opportunity to drive to Vacaville and see if I can have good shoe-shopping luck. Maybe even buy some other clothes -- between things wearing out and stuff that doesn't really fit anymore, I seem to need quite a few items. So if anyone has a masochistic desire to spend a day at an outlet mall, give me a shout!
And on yet another hand (if only one had three hands, or at least a prehensile tail!): In truth, a quiet weekend might do me good. This week is feeling very full, and I've been getting slightly less sleep than I prefer, and spending a whole lot less time cuddling the kitties than they prefer! The new job entails slightly longer hours, not even counting the slightly longer commute, and I have had (will have) stuff going on almost every evening: appt with the trainer at the gym on Tuesday, dinner (and a game of scrabble) with Eva yesterday, therapy appt tonight, and tomorrow I should go to the gym again, and may stop at the Dubliner on the way home (to see the fabulous Elizabeth and crew, none of whom I have seen in ages). Whew.
Well, speaking of work, I better get to it.
Just remembered the other thing I wanted to say: on the Thursday before a long weekend, there is already a remarkable reduction in the traffic on the Bay Bridge. All those people, off doing something fabulous... or maybe something dull, who knows? But they're off...
