So, the scale has finally caught up to that vague sense of flabbiness I've been experiencing. (Yes, it does work that way sometimes, strange but true.) Nothing dramatic, just the same damn 5 pounds that I've been battling for months is now on again.

Oddly, I do not feel excessively discouraged, at least not right at this moment. Rather, I am determined to focus on some short-term changes this month, not promising myself I'll stick with them forever, just seeing if I can move past this threshold.

We shall see. Wish me luck (and stamina, and determination, and will power...)
