readjustment
Sep. 30th, 2005 09:03 amI am already taking for granted various aspects of civilization, such as having a nice soft bed to sleep in, and ready access to toilets that are clean, flush, have seats, and are almost always equipped with toilet paper! But for some reason I am still really noticing how nice it is to be able to use tap water to brush my teeth.
My digestive tract is almost back to normal operation. Almost.
I told the story of my bad day, but not the story of my bad night. Must remember to write that up later (too long for a quick post from work).
At work yesterday, I got one-upped by a guy who was just back from 3 weeks (compared to my 2 weeks) in China and Nepal, and was at 15,000 feet (compared to less than 14,000), and people in his group were getting psychotic from the altitude (as opposed to just physically ill). What the heck. Peru was plenty for me, thank you very much.
Also: I seem to have a tiny bit of a cold. Just minor, normal, what happens when you travel by air.
Oh well, work now, post more later.
