oh and BTW
Feb. 5th, 2006 05:34 pmJust discovered that I missed a cell phone call from my boss' boss on Friday, and therefore didn't call him back as he requested. Argh. Although on one level I know it is not really a problem, I can't help feeling anxious. In the bigger picture, it has just now become clear to me that somewhere in the transition from AT&T to Cingular, my cell phone lost its previous consistent habit of *informing me* when I had missed calls and/or had messages waiting, as there were two other messages from missed calls on Thursday or Friday! Double argh.
In unrelatednews babble:
Forgot to mention that I got car-sick on Saturday AM, during the drive up to Badger Pass -- so abruptly that there was no chance to pull over or for anyone to find me a bag -- therefore I puked all over the door of Kim G's lovely minivan: plus side, mostly on hard surface rather than upholstery; down side, not the intended use of the passenger door cup-holder. I figure I owe Kim a Mother's Day gift for cleaning up after me.
The crew included 4 employees of Kaiser, including Kim G and Dhea and Alka, who works in Jen's group. I do think Kaiser might be an OK place for me.
I may have gotten a sunburn today.
p.s. Hair is washed, suitcase unpacked (except I forgot to get my book out of the outside pocket before stowing the suitcase, so I need to dig it out again), food is sorted through and put away, one cat is on lap. OTOH, there's a bag of trash that really ought to go out, and I haven't packed lunch for tomorrow, and I really need to get into the big armchair so both cats can be attended to simultaneously. Therefore, once again, I back slowly away from the computer...
