pretty good day

Slept well, got up around 8 which meant I had plenty of time to laze around before heading into Berkeley, and even got there in time to run some errands before my chiropractic appointment. Stopped at Whole Paycheck on the way home, which did not accomplish *all* of the grocery shopping but got the urgent bits. Then came home, went through my stack of tax paperwork to confirm that everything is there (for tax appt next weekend), fussed over my budget, and browsed real estate listings online.
At that point, I started getting irritated by the noise from the construction site next door. But it was a lovely afternoon, and I wanted to go for a walk anyway, so I headed out and circled Lake Merritt. Which was nice, but it was perhaps unwise to walk that far in my new boots -- when I got home and started up the stairs, my right knee protested vigorously (that is, I had sudden and severe pain). Argh. So much for that chiropractic adjustment.
So now it's just dark, I'm feeling pretty mellow, and thinking perhaps I should go drink some green tea so I don't fade too much: since my intent is to go out to DNA Club tonight, even if it now seems I can't plan on too much dancing.
p.s. for any of my LJ-friends who haven't already seen if from ztepf, you should come to NWC tonight :)
Oh, forgot to mention: unexpectedly got *another* package of very silly gifts from my sister, this time all red for V-day, complete with a card saying: "There are holidays all year... so it's not over until I say it's over!!!" I must say, well done Favorite Sister :)
