For what its worth, I don't think you're insane. Judging from the pictures there is a *lot* to like about that space. Its hard to tell, though, exactly how its laid out.

Not insane. It's a very attractive place -- and seems *large*. I haven't seen the other places to compare, but I think it looks like a good place to live.
