jaeclectic | Lena and the vaccuum monster (Reply)

So, Lena-kitty is seriously terrified of the vacuum cleaner. She has concluded that the only (only!) safe place to be when the vacuum monster appears is on the bed, underneath the duvet, where she then proceeds to cower for at least an hour after the monster goes away.

Today, I started running the vacuum without checking where she was before I started. And got halfway through, reached the bedroom & realized she was not in her safe place. So I turned off the vacuum and started looking for her. And sure enough, a minute later she comes scurrying out of the second bedroom with wide eyes. She had been trapped -- trapped! -- away from the only safety in the universe, while the monster rampaged closer & closer...

Naturally, I am simultaneously (quite) amused and (very mildly) guilty.

And Lena is now hiding under the duvet.
