jaeclecticOn a cheerier note, earlier today I had a really nice visit with Anne, who is going to be cat-sitting for me. She is a friend of K&K's who I first met at Kris' bridal shower, back in... eeep... 1997. Since then, have only run into her occasionally at K&K's parties.
She is just a totally sweet person and really easy to talk to. She was here to meet the cats and get indoctrinated on their requirements, but we ended up having a lovely, rambling conversation about all kinds of things... For instance, despite being in very different financial situations, we were able to talk about SF housing without any hint of envy or bitterness on her part. Plus work, and turning 40, and...
She is working at Black & Blue Tattoo and has just moved into a studio apartment on 17th St., so I have a new neighborhood connection. Yay!
