You're pretty clearly not in love with it. If you really have to struggle to justify it to yourself, you probably shouldn't but it.

Well, it's not true romance, that's for sure -- more like an arranged marriage, the question being, will I learn to love it?

The problem is, if my budget were 100K higher, I'd be confident of finding a place I'd *really* fall in love with. At my current budget, compromises are inevitable. And I've got a timing issue... So there's a significant risk that nothing better will come along and I'll regret it if I let this one go.

Bottom line: This is not my last opportunity to back out. At this point, I really just need to decide if it's a good enough possibility to pay a few hundred dollars for inspections. Plus of course the investment of time, energy, thought, the attention of all my LJ readers, and so on :)
