Keep going over the factors, but I think this place by Lake Merritt is going to be it. There is no perfection in life, but the balance of factors seems right.

I'm just scared. Of making a bad decision, I guess.



Update: OK, I'm committed.

At least, called the property manager and said I want the place, now he has to call the current tenants (who are breaking their lease) and make sure they are OK with a mid-month start.

As an aside: I feel stupidly nervous about telling my current landlord. I have just had so many unpleasant interactions with him, and I dread having one more -- even in the cause of never having to deal with his shit again!

Not so much really. I will have wasted some time and money. C'est la guerre.

And you know, maybe I will feel stupid if something happens to make it obvious with 20-20 hindsight that it was a bad move.

Kind of situation normal for any major life decision :]

OBTW, the property manager guy just called me, but I put him off for an hour. Because dammit, I gave myself until noon to decide, so he can't rush me!
