little to report

Yesterday I gave away massive amounts of stuff. Literally massive, as in: large pieces of furniture, a couple of large batiks, etc. Continued today with the small electronics: gave away a zip drive and my stereo. And made arrangements to give away the not-quite-functional Roomba & it's accessories (although if someone, ahem, ilen, wants an extra "invisible door" or two, she should still let me know).
Which means the old apartment is actually empty except for some cleaning supplies, which I shall pick up tomorrow evening. Whew.
Now must call the resident manager one more time and make sure the cleaner really got scheduled, and arrange a time to drop off the keys. Double whew. Wow, even. I am really just about done.
Other than that: had a lovely time at the eac-jgcr baby shower, and anticipate having a lovely time this evening visiting L&N -- it is L's birthday, and she wants to make dinner. Who am I to argue?
Also today, took a little walk from here along the lake and down Grand Ave, stopping to check my mailbox, but also checking out all the other businesses that will be walking distance from my (probable, fingers crossed) new digs. Thai and Ethiopian restaurants, whee! and a corner store, and a couple of hair salons, and a dentist. Hmm.
Despite all this goodness, I feel tired and a bit headachey. And dreading work. Ah well. Let's not think about that right now.
