focus, or not

I woke up restless, and with a vague itchy feeling that I should do a few hours work rather than take the whole day off. So I compromised by logging into work email and replying to a couple of messages, plus sending a message saying people could call me if they need to. Now I just need to scrub that itch out of my brain and enjoy the sloth.

Sloth and/or shopping: I do need to go look at beds, e.g.

And/or exercise: Going to the gym would be a swell idea.

Then at 3:00 I meet the selling realtor and get the keys. It feels awkward and a bit anticlimactic that it will be her rather than my realtor, who I have become rather attached to, but he is at a funeral in L.A. Such is life. Linda is coming over to see the place and take a little walk around my new neighborhood, and then I have another flooring contractor coming. Then I will be at leisure to pace around my new digs and fret about furniture arrangement and whether I need to put in phone jacks etc etc.

(I say "fret" because, knowing me, if there is nothing concrete to do, worry is likely to fill the empty space. But hopefully the *main* feeling will be elation.)
