Pictures of earthquake rubble are disturbing. But when I hear that a city moved 10 feet, I still think that's kind of cool.
A rather nicely done infographic on facebook privacy (others have apparently already commented that the heading should be "devolution" rather than "evolution").
A rather splendid little article related to the then-upcoming British election, by J.K Rowling, whom one cannot help but like enormously, despite feeling inadequate for not oneself having any ideas that are likely to lead to a bestselling series of novels, movies, action figures, et cetera et cetera.
