Dec. 28th, 2004 10:48 amIn keeping with my current scrambled reading material -- re-reading Colleen McCollough's novels set during the waning of the Roman Republic, interspersed with Gwyneth Jones' White Queen trilogy -- not to mention that I've been re-watching I, Claudius:
I was quite entertained by this comparison of the Roman Republic / Empire with U.S. history / future. (I especially love the dynastic names of the future politicos.)
