When the alarm went off this AM, I was having the following dream:
I was eating mashed banana with wheat germ and white sugar mixed into it. [Ick, but in the dream I didn't mind.] I spilled some wheat germ on the bedspread. [Not my bedspread, a white one.] Later, I noticed that there were bugs on the bedspread, and I realized they had come from the spilled wheat germ, the way weavils appear in flour. [In the dream, it didn't occur to me to be concerned that I had been eating this stuff.] I started walking around the bed picking up the bugs. As I progressed, they got larger and stranger, including some leech-like critters. They were kind of gross, but I kept picking them up. Finally, I got to the far side of the bed, where there were two deep puddles filled to overflowing with baby sea turtles. [The water did not soak into the bedspread, the puddles were just on the bed, surreally self-contained.] At this point, I realized I needed help, because I knew I had to take the turtles outside to save them, but I didn't know what to carry them in or where to take them. As I walked down the hallway in a Victorian-looking house, the floor was completely blocked by another large puddle full of swimming fish. As I started to carefully wade across the puddle, the alarm went off.
This is not much like my usual run of adventure-story dreams, but does have something of the same tone of mild anxiety, needing to figure out how to do something, solve some problem.
After that, I hit snooze three times instead of one. Then since I was already late, decided to skip using the stationary bike this AM, and sat down at the computer instead... Ho hum.
