update re: work situation

jaeclecticYes, I get to interview for my job. Or, to be more precise, to continue being employed with a job that might resemble my current job, except that it will probably be in a much less convenient location, and the odds are low that any of the friends I've made in 3 months here will be coming along.
Conveniently, the interview is scheduled for my birthday (next Tuesday). It turns out that I could have made it later in the week, but I really just want to get it over with.
You perceive, I am not brimming with enthusiasm.
Update on the update: We have just been informed that the interviews are not mandatory after all -- but logically it makes sense to go through with it, despite my basic reaction of dread. I did change my appointment to Friday instead of Tuesday, hoping in the interim to glean more useful information and/or develop a better attitude.
