jaeclecticWent into Berkeley this AM to see my chiropractor, who was thrilled and delighted to hear about my trekking plans, and completely agrees that it makes sense to push my knees a little harder at this stage -- which was not the reaction I was expecting, and I'm very pleased and relieved that she didn't respond with dire warnings.
On my way there, stopped into Pegasus to get one particular book and of course walked out with 4. Then after the appointment, walked (with my much heavier backpack) to the other side of Berkeley and bought a pair of shoes at the Walk Shop (also tried on some swell looking boots, but they were way too narrow for my spatulate feet). As I walked out, I chanced to remember that I had a gift certificate for Black Oak Books that's been in my purse for more than a year now. So, of course, I had to stop and buy more books.
By then, it was well past lunchtime, so I got some pizza at the Cheese Board Pizza Collective to eat as I walked back towards BART. Mmmm, asiago and gorgonzola pizza...
Now home and resting my bones for a few moments, before heading out for a hike. Then this evening, the Full Moon Party.
