The party was fun, despite the fact that I got there an hour before anyone else -- I waited until 1/2 hour after the advertised time to leave the house, and then got lost in the apartment complex for at least 15 minutes, but that still wasn't even close to enough. And I didn't know anyone (other than the charming hosts) until Wanda showed up much later.

Due to the resulting nerves, I was rather quiet (even more than usual) and ate way too much of the freely available junk food: cheese and crackers, white cheddar popcorn (with added [edible] glitter!), cookies... on top of two Mai Tai. I'm not actually sick or anything, but I do feel vaguely like I've poisoned myself, kind of weak and enervated like a Victorian heroine who's caught a suitably elegant disease.

Maybe a protein-rich breakfast would help... 'cause feeling poisoned doesn't mean I'm not hungry, don't be silly!

Anyway, today's agenda contains the usual full complement of life-maintenance chores, then a late afternoon massage appointment. I should start by hopping on the stationary bike to sweat some of the toxins out of my system. Just let me finish this cup of coffee first...
