jaeclecticI did get in my hike, not a very long one (repeated the same 4-1/2 mile route I did a few weeks ago) but on top of the 8-mile walk yesterday I feel satisfied with this weekend's contribution to the training regimen. However, I did get caught in the rain and drenched and fairly thoroughly chilled. Somehow, it never occurred to me that it might rain today.
Nevertheless, my mood is (as usual) improved by exertion, which is good because I was having one of those gloomy hangovers where the bad chemicals in your brain make everything bleak. Now I'm just down to physical tiredness and menstrual cramps, but with fair good cheer.
Otherwise, most of what I wanted to get done today got done, albeit sketchily. First load of laundry is in now. I still have to figure out what all I need for 6 days in Portland, where it is likely to be cool and rainy and I won't have a car.
Fortunately, my flight is not until mid-afternoon tomorrow, and I am not going into the office (nor do I have anything work-related that has to be done in the AM), so I can actually be fairly lazy this evening.
