pre-travel jitter

The place is a mess, mostly clutter and dust which I habitually ignore, but for some reason I'm having a fit of unusual wanna-be-tidiness (partly my typical aversion to knowing I'll be coming home to chaos, but a little more than usual). Well, it's a self-inflicted injury, I could have spent the whole day yesterday cleaning, and chose otherwise.

Meanwhile, despite having plenty of time, I am twitchy and wondering what I'm forgetting. I'm about 90% packed (or should I say over-packed) and semi-regretting having planned to take BART to the airport. It's the part about walking 1/2 mile+ with the ginormous suitcase, you know? 'cause despite being fairly well-travelled I have yet to master the art of packing light. I guess I should think of it as part of my training regimen :)

Also, slight intimations of resurgent sinus foo. Which I would like to deny, but should pack vitamins & tea & decongestants, just in case.

Ah well, it will be fun once I get there. Onward...

Hee. I hear you on the art of packing lite. The thing I always have to remind myself is that they have stores in {insert destination here} too. otherwise I wind up trying to pack for every eventuality, because you know, it might rain or I might be struck by the sudden urge to go swimming or ...
