oh me of little faith
Apr. 10th, 2005 02:07 pmAfter the usual minimum dose of flailing (AKA internet searching to find a clue how to get my PC to boot from CD), I successfully restored the C drive from backup. I actually didn't really expect this to fix the problem, but it seems to have. Touch wood.
The main lesson reinforced here is that I should always keep my machine dual boot, because even if I hardly ever use the Linux side, it inevitably saves me when the Windows side decides to crash and burn. Which seems to happen every year and a half, on average.
Oh, plus having a current backup is good. But we already knew that, didn't we?
Meanwhile, I am feeling mildly lethargic but going to try to shake it off now. Agenda for the day: grocery shopping, hike, laundry, decide what to do with my life. Should be able to get through the first three, I hope...
