exceedingly little to report
Jul. 2nd, 2005 05:58 pmI am glad I gave myself the 4-day weekend, but thus far I don't feel like I've been savoring it properly. I still feel rather tired, and today have felt rather cranky as well. Now I am feeling distinctly headachey as well. Apparently the sinus foo that was so evident on Thursday just went into stealth mode and is now showing itself again. Feh.
One significant factor in preventing relaxation has been that I had to take my car into the shop, as the driver side window control suddenly stopped working. It is, of course, far better to have the window stuck shut during the dry season than to have it stuck open during the rainy season. Nevertheless, this being the second time that this window has ceased to operate, I feel a bit curmudgeonly about it. I ended up taking it to Pleasanton: not really such a big hassle, but it chewed up time yesterday (getting the car there) and today (fetching it again).
Also still mildly irritated at the universe for not cooperating in my desire to go out last night (and/or at myself for not just making it happen).
I have been trying to plan tomorrow's hike. I'd like to do something special, not just my usual haunts at Redwood or Wildcat Canyon. Possibilities: Mt. Tam, or Big Basin, or the loop around the summit of Mt Diablo. Big Basin is kind of appealing to me. However, I'm having trouble working up enthusiasm for driving anywhere (in holiday weekend traffic) and for setting my alarm clock in order to get there in a timely manner. So we shall see. Maybe if I get to bed early and get a good night's sleep.
At the moment, I am waiting for K&K to call me back. We have tentative dinner plans, which I am sure I will enjoy, although at this moment I would happily forego doing anything and just lie on the sofa all evening...
I haven't even exercised today.
Blah.
