jaeclecticI didn't set my alarm last night, and told myself I would go to brunch if I woke up on time, and not if I didn't. And since I did in fact get up at 9-something, it was not exceedingly difficult to get myself into downtown SF, although I managed to be almost late enough to be fashionable: arrived at 11:20 for nominal 11:00 brunch, not even noticable by normal people's standards, extremely late by mine!
The brunch crowd turned out to consist of just Rebecca, Ping, and myself -- lots of no-shows, which is a shame, but we were a quorum and the conversation was interesting and the weather was beautiful. We went to a place at the ferry building and ate outside, and Rebecca brought a bottle of wine. I had never really talked to Ping before, so that was quite nice. And I decided to come home on the ferry rather than BART, which was very pleasant indeed.
Having started out a bit hung-over, and then had a glass of wine with brunch, and then walked home from Jack London Square in the cool breeze and warn sunshine, I now feel rather pleasantly stoned. And quite disinclined to start on my chores, but I suppose I should at least make the to-do list.
