jaeclecticOK, finally heard from Heather. Apparently in addition to being (as usual) frantically busy she has been a bit down, hence not jumping right on the holiday arrangements. But my prodding seems to have shaken her out of it.
I think she is going to book flights today, and as soon as I hear that the flights are booked, I will get a hotel.
Whew.
Right now all of this is being managed via email, which is a bit slow since H uses a dial-up connection and therefore doesn't check her email continuously the way I do. But we have set a time to chat via ICQ tomorrow.
