theme for the weekend

...seems to have been sunburn (ref ilen, bulieb, angel_boi). Perhaps I would have gotten a nasty burn if I hadn't twisted my ankle first (on the other hand, then I would still have gotten my hike, dammit).

Perhaps the underlying theme is self-inflicted injury? *sigh*

Suddenly I am assigned (short-term) to a "reporting initiative". Things I learned in grad school will surely come in handy. But just to stretch my brain a little further, a question for all you info-geeks out there:

Anyone know of (preferably online) resources for best practices and/or swell examples and/or cool new trends in reporting? AKA information visualization, AKA charts & graphs & tables...
