jaeclecticI had a nice lie in this AM, with little interference from the kitties and no noticable noise from the construction next door: Bliss!
I did, however, have a number of odd and mildly unpleasant dreams, fragments of which remain with me:
In one part, my apartment was falling apart and infested with various pests. For example, I noticed a stream of plaster dust falling down from the ceiling, and looked up to see a small frog working it's way in. An unpleasant little black frog, I might add. The kind that would feature in a biblical curse, not an idyllic stream-side kind of froggy.
Later the dream moved on to a tangent wherein somehow I had decided to share my apartment with this guy. I don't remember exactly why, but it wasn't because I needed to, it was because of some sob story of his. And I was generally uncomfortable with the lack of privacy. And then several of my neighbors were really angry and were taking up a petition to have us evicted, apparently because the guy had loud all-night parties while I wasn't there.
And then he decided to seduce me by the charming means of flopping down on my bed and saying "so, when's the fuck?". (Giving a big grin which showed off his braces.) And when I explained that I really wasn't interested, he didn't do anything forceful, he just didn't go away or give up. He was obviously of the whine-until-she-gives-in school.
Then I woke up.
So the themes were: things falling apart, intrusion (but somehow it's my own fault), and nasty vermin, including guys like the ones I knew in high school. And it all had to do with my home, the safe place no longer safe... Hmm, deep, very deep ;)
