state of the weekend
Oct. 8th, 2005 06:43 pmWhat I've done so far this weekend:
- Got a massage
- Slept 12 hours
- Lazed around, read, surfed the net
- Watered the plants
- Minor grocery shopping
What I plan to do tonight:
- More lazing
- Another 12 hours of sleep, if it feels right
Things I may or may not do tomorrow:
- Buy a ticket at the last minute & go see Dr Atomic at the SF Opera
- Go for a hike, before my muscles forget how (if and only if I wake up with unimpaired breathing)
- Hear back from K&K, whom I haven't seen in weeks and for whom I keep leaving messages to no avail
- Meet folks for brunch, if it turns out anything like that is happening
- Leave the house at all
Notes:
- Usually when I sleep for 12 hours, I wake up feeling headachey and waterlogged, and know that I've slept too long. Last night, 12 hours felt like exactly the amount of sleep I needed and wanted. It was luxurious.
- My particular interest in Dr Atomic is because of having chanced to see another work of John Adams', I was looking at the ceiling and then I saw the sky, several years ago in Edinburgh, and having found it truly wonderful. I don't necessarily have to go tomorrow, but I have a feeling it's my best shot.
- I am feeling slightly worried about K&K, although telling myself they are undoubtedly just frantically busy with deadlines and home renovation and so on. But it does seem odd that neither of them has called me, so I hope everything is OK.
