help please: updating my web page

Hey, anyone who has a minute, please take a look at: http://www.obscure.org/~jafitz/index_new.html

For things like:
- coherency,
- browser neutrality,
- is the resume link above the fold?
- would you hire this person?
- or even typos...

(If you have more than a minute, compare & contrast with the previous version which as you might expect is

As you see this is not a major redesign, I am just trying to gear up for serious job-hunting. Next up, updating the portfolio page...)

I think I should add more to the detail page but I just officially ran out of steam... time for me to go take a walk.


Update 2: Went ahead and pushed out the new pages. So don't bother with the _new URLs -- but I'd still like comments, so if you feel inclined go to:
