jaeclecticFour days of rest has been good, but I still have lingering cold / sinus symptoms. Fundamentally, still tired. I'm tired of being tired. Bah.
T-day with L&N was lovely, as was hanging out the next day with K&K, and hiking yesterday with Sarah W. OTOH, between t-day feasting & leftovers & the masochistic impulse purchase of chocolate chunk cookie dough at Trader Joe's, I have eaten way, way, way too much.
I need to get back on my exercise routine, plus sort out some gym access near home. Oakland Y is probably the best bet, just need to do it.
All the happy housing news among my friends has pricked my never far-buried obsession with the topic. A bit of quality time was spent today browsing condos on the market in Daly City, South San Francisco, and various not-yet-yuppified neighborhoods of SF. Not sure if this is sane or not. Now I may do the corresponding rental browse... not that I can or will or should do anything about this anytime soon.
Another bit of quality time today was spent updating my portfolio page. Nothing really substantial, but I added at least a placeholder for work done at PSFT and AP, so it isn't quite as obviously stale. Not that I want to start job-hunting. Oh how I do NOT want to start job-hunting. But given "recent events" (as people at work have been tending to euphemistically say), it's kind of an intelligence test, one should always be ready.
This work week will be short because I am going to LA on Friday. I am kind of in denial about the need to actually figure out the details and get in touch with my newish friends there, just not feeling up to dealing with it, and also feeling shy. Who are these people again, and why do I think I want to see them?
Also: abruptly anxious about leaving the kitties alone for a long weekend. I wish I could figure out a suitable neighbor to ask, but in the meantime, anyone who's likely to be in the East Bay who wouldn't mind checking on my feline compatriots, let me know.
