Just had a tiny little emotional meltdown at work. So embarrassing.
Just last week I was re-reviewing a requirements document, and noticed something that looked odd, and asked the PM who said: oh yes, that stuff is all specified in this other document -- where the other document was one that I had asked about weeks ago and specifically been told I did *not* need to review.
So fine, this was annoying, but I went and reviewed the second document, and figured out that I needed to add a pair of pages to my design, and of course some IA changes as well to accommodate the new pages, and then I *scrambled* to get those changes (as well as a bunch of other stuff) ready for today's review.
And when we got to those pages, the engineers looked at them and said: oh no. That stuff all got taken out.
As it happens, the PM had just left the meeting, so he got to miss seeing me burst into tears.
I really, really need to not let this stuff get to me. Can I blame the holidays?
