on the birthday / new year's theme

jaeclecticI just sent the evites for my open house / party on the 14th. If you don't see it, either I don't have your email, or I assumed that since you were in another state I should not torment you... In any case, come one, come all :)
I had a really lovely day yesterday (my actual birthday). I took a vacation day and went for a hike at Point Reyes, in the astonishingly beautiful sunny warm weather. In the evening, had dinner with K&K, jgcr & eac, and Jen & Fredrik -- all of whom it was terrific to see, individually and collectively :)
The only sour note of the day was a weird unpleasant email from my Dad, but since eac was handily available to vent to, I don't need to rant about the details again.
Last and least, it occurs to me that I have made some resolutions lately; I just wasn't thinking of them as being about New Year's. But for the record, I am aiming to:
- lose 15 pounds by June
- find a place to get my cats' claws trimmed (hey, at least one of them should be easy, right?)
- refuse to act my age!
