miscellaneous babble
May. 6th, 2006 09:17 pmI slept late, and really wanted to do absolutely nothing all day. But I was forced out of the house by the eye doctor appointment I'd made a few weeks ago -- no change in my prescription, it turns out, and she doesn't see any point to my getting bifocals yet (whew), she says I should just continue taking my glasses off to read -- and then once I was up and about I did some shopping as well.
And then came home and settled back into lethargy. I am still not feeling well, but hope that a couple more generous nights of sleep will get me back to normal energy levels. Tomorrow I need to get to an open house, and do some household chores, and perhaps go to the gym if I'm feeling well enough.
Other than that, things on my mind:
1. I did gain weight on the trip, after spending the past several months failing to lose the weight I gained last November. Obviously, I need some different tactic, but I've not yet decided what to try.
At the moment, I'm just back to basics (recording what I eat, trying to get back to my exercise routine, cautiously until I feel well). I do want to start hiking again this summer, for the fun of it if nothing else.
2. I made another minor attempt at using online personals, and actually got a message from someone who seems interesting. Now I'm all nail-bitingly anxious about it, and telling myself not to be silly, and being silly regardless.

3. I am thinking (again) about what kind of new computer to buy. And about planning my next tattoo. Because I will be getting a bonus, and I wouldn't want to be too sensible, right?
