the weekend thus far
May. 14th, 2006 09:00 amI hope I am starting to feel better. This cold/sinus foo has so painfully slow to depart.
I did get most of the weekend's ration of essential life maintenance chores done yesterday. This AM I am going to try going to the gym, and then Kris is going to come with me to some open houses, which should be fun.
No further word from my tantalizing online acquaintance.
I did call back the person from Table for Six, and arranged to go in for an interview later in the week -- kind of weird, although in a way it makes sense -- the theory is that if they don't think you'll fit in their artificial social circle, they don't accept you -- although I suspect it is also very clever marketing psychology, first they make you feel lucky to be accepted and then they tell you how much it's going to cost. I still have mixed feelings about T46, e.g. the repetition of the phrase "quality people" makes me a little queasy, but I really don't have any other ideas about how to meet single-people-my-own-age so what the heck? Hopefully it will be cheaper than more therapy.
Meanwhile, it is another beautiful day, and time for me to go get another cup of coffee...
p.s. No one on my friends list seems to be on LJ at all this weekend. I am glad you all have better things to do, but still... I miss you!
p.p.s. Completely forgot to say: went to the Parkway last night and saw V for Vendetta. Good fun.
