today was surely wednesday
May. 24th, 2006 06:58 pmApropos of not much, I realized that part of why I've been kind of cranky at work the past few days (aside from the unwellness aspect) is that I haven't had a lot of *tangible* work to do.
I've been busy every day: meetings, conversations, reading emails, writing emails, filing bugs, commenting on bugs, looking over one of the UI engineers' shoulder while we discuss details about how things should look in the new reporting framework & he tweaks the code, having long complicated IM discussions with another UI engineer about the logic in the system setup wizard, reviewing stuff for the new tech writer, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, I mean it really never ends.
But I haven't actually *produced* anything.
Needless to say, this too shall pass. But I feel renewed sympathy for my former colleague C, who had probably been in this mode for a couple of months at the point when he decided to look elsewhere.
