healthy, wealthy, wise?
May. 29th, 2006 11:27 amI feel pretty good this AM, having slept long and well. I still have a slight feeling of tightness in my chest, but it's almost subliminal, I wonder if I'd even notice it, if I weren't so desperate to feel well that my attention is locked onto the lingering symptoms. I felt almost well on Friday, tried to have a normal day on Saturday, and was exhausted yesterday -- so I know it would be smart not to push my luck today, yet I feel miserable at the idea of letting the long weekend go by without going for at least a short hike... Bah.
Meanwhile, despite having already spent my bonus money, I have a sudden determination to buy a laptop before I move -- especially if I might have to move somewhere temporary first -- I just don't want to lug the barely functional desktop and its huge monitor and et cetera. I was practically ready to place an order for a Toshiba, and then read two extremely negative user reviews (both describing reliability / warranty issues). I am really bored with myself being unable to decide on what type of laptop to buy. Why why why must this be so hard? Bah again.
Nevertheless, it is a beautiful day and I am delighted to have the day off. I did manage to get the grocery shopping done yesterday, which means today's chores are minimal -- the only fixed and necessary activity is an appointment with my realtor (I have low expectations for the units we're going to see, but it is still good to be checking out a couple of places).
Also, had a great time yesterday evening hanging out with ztepf and finally seeing Donnie Darko (my mind is still reeling :)
So, you know, despite my wide variety of persistent complaints, life is really pretty good.
