I sure hope I wake up tomorrow morning feeling like I know which of these condos I really want.

As of this moment:

I am in contract for the unit on Lakeshore, inspections are in progress, and am awaiting HOA docs for review.
AND
I have made an offer for the unit on Orange, and am awaiting the seller's response.

It seems vaguely bigamous, doesn't it?

I really did not have the amount of time I wanted to *think* about Orange. The chaotic mass of ideas swirling in my head right now include:

- Lakeshore has the gorgeous view, it's expensive but almost certain to be a good investment, I've become rather attached to the idea, but OMG the work that would have to be done, although how satisfying to perform that transformation...

- Orange might be a little smaller although I like the layout, it is much much much much cheaper but with some financial issues that add uncertainty and make it less likely to be a good investment*, it would require hardly any work to move in, it does have a wood-burning fireplace, overall it's really very nice but I just haven't had time to think...

I just don't know what to want to have happen next.

Therefore I shall drive over toward Orange and go for a walk, that could only help.

p.s. My real fear at this point is that someplace else will come on the market to confuse the issue further, which should theoretically be good because choices are good, except that actually too many choices make you miserable.

* There is going to be a "special assessment" for termite damage on some of the balconies, which could be 5-10K; and the HOA dues are already on the high side; overall this suggests poor management of the HOA, that even with high dues the reserve was not sufficient when a problem was found.
