I actually had a day at work where I made some progress on the item most recently identified as my highest priority. Since this particular task has been languishing for a while, it was good to feel a semblance of traction. While doing that, I was frequently interrupted by my colleague PA, one of the UI developers -- but they were good conversations, about one of my other high-priority projects, so I didn't mind the distraction.

Then, I had a meeting with my two IxD comrades, in which we all agreed that the plan that my manager and PA's manager have come up with, regarding when (and how quickly) wireframes will be produced in the new development process, is *utterly insane* and will never work. Since I've been thinking this and worrying about it, it was extremely pleasant to have both of the other IxDs whole-heartedly agree, and to plan our counter-offer (i.e. what kind of documentation we think we *can* produce during the phase where they have told everyone we are going to produce wireframes).

Getting things done at work is so cheering.

Then scurried out to drive my car to the Mini dealer in Pleasanton (believe it or not, actually the most convenient option at this point, in large part because they have Saturday hours). I got there with only normal traffic woes, and then spoke to a nice person who advised me that my warranty runs out in November (as opposed to last November, which was when I though it would) but that it could be renewed and I should look into it -- very interesting, since when I bought the car, they told me that if I declined to buy the extended warranty then, I would never get another chance. Ha!

On arriving home, I had a message from the property management company saying they are going to show the apartment on Sunday -- but that the people are already tenants in the building, so if I'm willing, I could just show it to them myself at our mutual convenience. Therefore, some of my neighbors from downstairs are stopping by in 1/2 hour to see the place. Which is actually great in several ways: since I had so little notice, I don't feel bad that the place is untidy; I would rather get this out of the way tonight than have to fret about Sunday; and if they actually want the place, not only would it all be settled (no more showings) but I can talk to them about whether they want the curtains, etc. All good, really.

I will say, I'm a bit tired, and starting to feel a trace of the headache that's been lurking on and off all week, but it's been a better day than I've had in a while.
