Nothing is particularly new, just felt like I should let my fans know that I'm OK ;)

Had a good weekend, kind of busy but not too stressful. Saturday was mostly about getting life maintenance things done, although I did stop at Cost Plus and browse quirky storage options, on the way to the brunch that Rosa organized (which turned out to be quite fun).

Then spent the whole day Sunday with Kris who was here vacationing in her (adopted) home town. We went to the new place and measured everything I could think of to measure (forgot the windowpane size, darn!); went to Cody's where I valiantly refrained from buying books that would need to be packed and moved (although I consoled myself with 2 maps of Oakland) while Kris browsed extensively in the Norse sagas and eventually bought an Anglo-Saxon dictionary, Anglo-Saxon grammar, and a gloss of Beowulf; went to Tilden Park and strolled on the path to Inspiration Point at sunset; and capped the day with dinner at Fonda, for which Karen joined us.

As you might expect, I am still obsessing about arranging the new place, what furniture to buy, etc. Just figure the whole moving thing will take up 90% of my brain for the next 2 months.

Oh, and spent most of the day today twiddling JSP code. That was fun! (unlike jgcr my goal is NOT to expunge all technical knowledge and abilities from my brain)
