Despite being tired all day yesterday, I had trouble getting to sleep last night -- little worries that I'd been pushing down all day came bubbling up into my brain, twitch twitch.

Which means I started out today tired as well. Got jolted awake by the unexpectedly loud clock-radio, the station and volume having presumably been changed by the housekeeper.

Made a bunch o' phone calls before heading out, but got nothing but voice mail. Stopped at the condo and waited until 9:15 before calling and finding out that the flooring work crew was making a delivery first -- so I had to attempt to communicate with the crew lead on the phone, which does not work nearly as well as F2F. And then was stuck in traffic because apparently it disconcerted everyone that there was fog on the Bay Bridge. I mean, fog, heading into San Francisco, who would expect that?

And *then* I got to work (already late, of course) and my computer was basically hung up, it took half an hour just to quit applications and restart.

Bah bah bah.

But things are improving, or at least there are hopeful signs. I did get some return phone calls, at least.

So it looks like:
- Plumbing work is going to happen (I dare not say it will be finished) tomorrow.
- Flooring work will probably not be done today, and perhaps not tomorrow, but I think they understood my request to finish the bedroom today (so that the plumbing work and the bed delivery can each proceed tomorrow without mutual interference) and it seems almost certain it will all be done by Wednesday (so that I can move in Thursday!).

Also:
- Dunno when the rest of the painting will happen, but that is low priority at this point (AKA, the painter has not yet returned my call).
- Kitchen is essentially done, although I should try to put another coat of sealant on the floor grout, if I can gather the energy to spend another hour on my hands and knees doing so.
- I have decided that I actually hate the light fixtures in the kitchen (as opposed to just not particularly liking them). [This realization was brought on by trying and failing to remove a burned out lightbulb. I mean, some things ought to be simple.] This is bad because it means I ought to deal with them sooner rather than later (AKA, maybe before getting the kitchen ceiling painted, which I already told the painter he could do at will).

In other words, too many moving parts.

My head hurts.

I wish I could just take the whole week off. But I am planning to take Thurs and Fri off, so I just have today and 2 more days of chaos to get through.
