equilibrium?
Sep. 21st, 2006 08:49 amA good night's sleep did help. I would have stayed in bed longer save for the nagging fear/hope that the painters might show up again this AM.
On my physical state: I am spotting today, so it appears that my period is indeed coming early, and I did have a hormonal surge in the mix yesterday. I still haven't figured out if I have a cold coming on, or just a blast of allergies. Whatever it is, it is settling in my throat and chest, which seems to be my weak spot since the bout of whooping cough. Still feel a bit tired but not crushingly exhausted.
On my mental state: Calmer, albeit still a bit frazzled. At least on a Thursday I can tell myself the weekend is coming soon.
On the state of the condo: I am not thrilled with the job the painter (and his assistant) did. It is just really minimal, e.g. they did not do the trim in semi-gloss, and used the same color for the kitchen ceiling rather than trying to match the adjacent ceiling color. Which I suppose is because I was not micromanaging the job. I am reminded that my realtor recommended him as amazingly cheap, not amazingly thoughtful. I am also reminded of my friend at work saying: never use a contractor recommended by a realtor! they know all the ones who do cheap shoddy work!
Also, the bathroom cabinet still smells musty. It really does need the special mildew-killing primer. *sigh*
Well, now I must see if my work laptop has finished rebooting, and see if I can get a bit of my mind onto work. Or, maybe just check email and then go take a nap.
