jaeclectic...there's the worrying dripping noise.
Somehow never noticed during my various visits before buying the place, soon after closing I noticed that when I am in the kitchen I often hear what sounds like water dripping above the ceiling. Now that I'm living here, I notice it all the time in both the kitchen and the office (other side of the same wall).
My handyman commented that it *might* be inside a pipe.
I mentioned it to my upstairs neighbor, since if it is a leak, it is probably coming from her kitchen sink -- and she fled screaming. (Well, she looked alarmed and I dropped the subject, since it was the first time I'd met her and I didn't want to be the neighbor from hell, at least not right away).
But every time I'm working at home I hear it all day. It's a *loud* dripping noise. Persistent but irregular. Audio water torture.
And it seems worse today. Could this somehow be connected with the rain? Even though it's been happening when there was no rain whatsoever?
*sigh*
I really want to be liking my new place, not worrying that I ought to be doing something about this, and wondering if I will ever stop being irritated by it.
