time (lack thereof)

jaeclecticHere I am starting the third day of a four-day weekend, and I find myself feeling mildly panicky about getting done all the things I want to do and all the things I need to do...
Thursday, of course, was entirely consumed by consumption: I spent the AM preparing food, then went to L&N's around 1PM, where we: ate some lovely food, prepared more food, ate massive quantities of delicious food, cleaned up and put away food (my job was to hold August-kitty on my lap while they did the actual work, but they assured me that was extremely helpful :), watched a DVD, ate yet more food of the sweet kind, rolled home around midnight and had a snack before bed...
Yesterday, I did at least a couple of things that I wanted/needed to do: Went to the gym, stopped briefly to check on Sarah's kitty Zoe. I was supposed to have a meal with K&K, but we deferred that to Sunday. So instead, I updated content on my web site (minor changes to resume including change of address; added new page of photos of the condo), then spent the evening watching a couple more movies. The web site update was one of the items on my to-do list for the long weekend, and it is good that I got it done. But now Sunday is no longer wide open.
Today, the fixed point is a mid- to late afternoon visit to Osento with eac et al. Tomorrow, the fixed point is a mid- to late afternoon meal and probably a movie with K&K.
The other things I need or want to fit in around those events are:
- go for a hike while the sun is out
- more (longer) visit(s) with Zoe-kitty
- laundry
- buy holiday cards, start futzing with addresses, figure out how to print labels on the new printer...
- other change of address stuff that I've been putting off
- grocery shopping
- sort out piles of stuff on desk and file appropriately
- set up the backup disk that I bought a couple months ago, in order to backup my new computer which I have had for several months now, and not yet backed up even once
- miscellaneous household foo
It just isn't all going to happen. Must prioritize. Must not let too much time dribble away...
OTOH, Ash-kitty votes for me spending a bit more time sitting here in front of the computer with her in my lap.
