all quiet on this front
Dec. 30th, 2006 10:59 amI have almost nothing planned for this weekend, and I'm feeling quite happy with that. I feel less unwell than yesterday, but still low in energy, and the idea of a day or two of complete sloth has a great deal of appeal.
Main concern: Lena is still not well. I keep trying to tell myself she is getting around a little better, but she's clearly still having a hard time getting on and off of the items of furniture where whe usually hangs out. Plus, this AM she is pukey. Which is not all that unusual in the normal scheme of things (she eats too fast, her sister chases her, she urps), but I am putting off giving her the AM dose of antibiotic in the hope that her stomach will settle. *sigh* (Next follow-up vet visit is Tuesday.)
Secondary concern: I have been procrastinating on getting back to Room & Board to gets things settled about my kitchen table. Have I already babbled about this? I ordered a table for the kitchen, but the table top came in warped 5 times in a row. So the person from the store suggested that I change to a different top, but I felt like I really wanted to see the finishes again before deciding (since about 2 months had elapsed since the original order). Anyway... this was probably around T-Day, and my motivation to race right over to the store was pretty limited. But now I see that the table legs are on clearance sale, so if I don't get my act together, the style I want may not be available.
I suppose fitting in a trip to downtown SF this weekend wouldn't be all that terribly hard. I'd be tempted to just do it over the phone after all, but now I can't find the name/number of the person I spoke to before. It just all seems unduly complex. (Oh wait! found it! well, that's good...)
Anyway. That's what's in my brain at this moment. Larger issues are no doubt still lurking under the surface, but perhaps they'll leave me alone for a day or two. For the moment, I may just go take a nap.
