more packing, more tired
Mar. 21st, 2004 10:05 pmI got a lot done today, but still seems like there's a huge amount to go. And no more weekend left, eeep.
Determined I really couldn't afford the time to go to the gym today, and besides my knees are already over-stressed. So I packed, finished going through desk stuff, packed some more, doing twelve things at once and probably none of them efficiently. Per plan, took one Mini-load over.
And remembered to back up the computer. Which involved downloading a new program since I've given up on the crap that came with the zip drive. So if by pure bad luck something does go wrong in transit, I have trusted my files to a new and untested shareware program. C'est la guerre.
And of course didn't have enough zip drives for everything that I wanted to back up, so had to run to Office Depot for more. Fortunately, this is right next to Safeway where I bought milk. And also thought to buy gas along the way, which could save some stress later in the week.
Also got cash. Because my new checks haven't come, and I have exactly two left, so I figured maybe I shouldn't pay Linda with one of them...
I am starting to note down what needs to be done on a day-by-day basis, e.g.,
Thursday (last day before move), disassemble stereo & computer, unfasten furniture from walls;
Wednesday, pack rest of kitchen,
Tuesday, lost day because I have theatre tickets and dammit I'm going,
Monday, which is tomorrow, everything else?!?
eeeeep.
