hello brain
Aug. 24th, 2007 02:26 pmSometimes it is just obvious that your brain is playing tricks on you. As, for instance, this AM, when I managed to leave the house and drive to San Bruno without my laptop. Erk.
Fortunately, I didn't have a lot of meetings today, and was able to opt out of one of them with no difficulty, and thus I am now working at home for the afternoon.
And therefore, here I am, unmotivated and unpressured, forcing myself to do a few token bits of actual work before moving on to more important activities such as:
- entering phone numbers into my new cell phone
- figuring out details of tomorrow's renfaire costume (jewelry? ribbons? should I take the button off the shirt? what shoes might be innocuous enough to not detract, and also reasonable for walking some distance without unduly aggravating my already sore knees?)
I'm in one of those moods where I really yearn for utter sloth. I have a massage appointment tonight, which will of course be wonderful, but nevertheless I feel like I'd rather stay home. I know the renfaire will probably be a blast, for the excellent company if nothing else, but I wish it were some other weekend.
Never mind, I'll shake it off.
